Helping women find safety and connection within themselves, their bodies, and their relationships

Welcome, I’m Elena Jacinta. I offer online somatic therapy to women seeking greater regulation and support that honours their body, not just their mind. I help them through an attuned, body-first approach grounded in Somatic Experiencing® (SE), with gentle attention to nervous system patterns shaped by childhood experiences and shock trauma.

My Story

Born in Latvia, I often moved between languages and cultures, travelling and living in Asia and Europe for over a decade before settling in Thailand as an expat.

I spent 15 years of my life as a professional dance artist, touring, choreographing, and teaching. What started as a path of creativity and self-expression ended with a burnout. On this path, I discovered somatics and my fascination with the human body, but I also got to know my own limits and the real cost of pushing through and overriding them.

My healing and my specialised trauma training made me see that many struggles we face in our lives don’t always start with conscious choices. The threads of self-abandonment and disconnection often get sewn into our bodies and nervous system long before we learn to speak.

What I’ve also learnt is that with attention to the body and co-regulating support, they can begin to loosen and transform. One step and one thread at a time.

This understanding has become the foundation of my work today.

My Clients' Story

Many of the women I work with are thoughtful, self-aware and committed to their healing.

They are drawn to somatic work because they feel their body carries something they cannot fully tap into or resolve on their own.

They sometimes find themselves wondering:

  • How do I soothe the waves of anxiety, or contain the anger that feels so visceral and big?
  • How do I move through my grief that hasn’t been fully expressed?
  • How do I stop shrinking to fit in or protect myself from judgment? Or how do I stop becoming too loud to be heard and understood?
  • How do I stay present without shutting down? How do I open my heart?
  • How do I find a new way of showing up in relationships, instead of repeating the same patterns over and over again?
  • How do I listen and understand what my body is communicating? How do I take care of it better?

They come to me wishing to feel more regulated and less reactive, to feel safer and more connected to themselves, their bodies and their needs.

Whatever the details, what I hear most often is a longing for change that feels real, embodied and lasting.

This is where our work together begins.

My Approach & Specialty

I approach these seemingly different struggles from a nervous system lens. Through Somatic Experiencing (SE) and other body-oriented methods, I help these women strengthen their nervous system resilience and ease emotional overwhelm.

My speciality in developmental and attachment trauma allows this process to go deeper and address the nervous system adaptations that form early in life and continue to influence us well into adulthood.

My additional speciality in shock trauma helps me also recognise and work with survival states that may remain active long after an overwhelming event has passed.

What I Help With as an Online Somatic Therapist

Common themes I work with include:

High sensitivity & overwhelm

You may identify as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) or simply notice that you feel things deeply and become easily overwhelmed by emotions or external stimulation. When the body stays on alert for too long, sensitivity can turn into anxiety, hypervigilance or emotional overload. In our work, we’d support your system, so you can feel safer within yourself and in the world.

Feeling like you don’t belong & living between cultures

You may have felt that you don’t quite fit anywhere since childhood. It may be related to growing up between cultures, moving often or settling abroad. Or maybe because in your own family, you often felt different and misunderstood. We would explore what your nervous system has learnt about belonging and acceptance, and help you find an embodied sense of rootedness and inner stability.

Fear of being seen, people-pleasing, authenticity and boundaries

You may fear being seen for who you are, speaking your truth or saying ‘no’. This may show up in relationships, at work or in your business. Many sensitive, capable women learn early to adapt through people-pleasing, perfectionism, overworking or staying small. In our sessions, we’ll slow down and listen to what your body is telling you about your values, needs and limits and support you in honouring them safely.

How I Work

You probably already understand what happened to you. My process takes you a step further – it respectfully invites you to set aside the story of the mind so we can listen to the story your body has to tell.

We’ll bring attention to sensations, impulses, emotions, and other subtle cues which often reveal patterns that are easy to miss.

We’ll become curious about what lies underneath the symptoms, what may be influencing your life that has gone unnoticed, or what is asking for attention and repair. This often brings new awareness, more flexibility in your system and an opportunity for change.

In my work, my wish is for you to develop trust in yourself instead of becoming dependent on me as the therapist.

Presence and sensitivity are at the heart of my work. In my sessions, I offer guidance and support without rushing or taking over your experience, so you can deepen your sense of embodiment and strengthen self-agency.

What Other Women Say

“Elena has helped me to regulate myself and taught me how I can create safety, something I was very much in need of. In her presence, it was so easy to feel comfortable. I really felt that she was there for me. And that was exactly what I needed to feel safe enough to look inside and process some heavy stuff. I feel so much lighter now. Thank you for joining me on my journey.”

“I initially sought SE therapy mainly for help with symptoms of chronic fatigue and developmental trauma, which had become debilitating. After trying more traditional talk-based therapies, which were successful in their own right, I felt that a bottom-up approach was missing. What stood out to me the most when working with Elena Jacinta was her gentleness and respect for my agency. She takes a collaborative approach to her sessions, which is ideal for those who are prepared to do the work. As a result, every session with her feels expansive and transformative. After just a few months, it has been such a joy to witness my resilience and ability to sustain energy increase. I am less affected by the peaks and troughs of life and feel more equipped to dive deeper into healing the long-term effects of trauma. I recommend working with her if you are looking for the highest level of care, safety, and attunement.”

    Work With Me

If you are a woman looking for attuned body-first healing, I’m currently accepting new clients for virtual somatic therapy sessions. I work across time zones with clients in Asia, Australia, the Americas (your evenings) and Europe (your mornings).

    Step 1:

Fill out the New Client Application Form. Once I receive your form and if it seems like we are a fit, I’ll send you my calendar link to book your first session.

Schedule and attend your first short online session. The cost is 45 euros for a 30-minute session. In this 30-minute session, you’ll experience what this process feels like. We’ll also clarify your goals and desired outcomes, and I will advise you on possible next steps.

Watch the video below to prepare for our first session and to learn what to expect.

    Step 3:

Arrange further online sessions (weekly or bi-weekly) for ongoing one-on-one somatic therapy support and integration.

    FAQ

At this point, I’m only offering sessions online/ virtually.

    My current rates are:

    45 EUR* for the first half-hour online session;

90 EUR* for a single one-hour session or

255 EUR* for a package of 3 sessions.

At the moment, I don’t offer discounts or a sliding scale.

    * Clients with a billing address in the European Union will have VAT added at checkout in compliance with EU regulations.

It depends on the type of issue or concern that you would like to work through. For instance, minor single-event trauma or dysregulation will take much less time to address than chronic dysregulation, multiple traumas or developmental/ relational trauma. In general, I would allow at least 3 months of weekly sessions to attend to an issue or a portion of a bigger issue and then revise our progress. SE is relatively slow-paced, but small shifts usually start show up from the first session.
